Thomas Marvin Geving, 60, Andover, MN, passed away on June 6, 2026. He was born April 23, 1966 in Walker, MN to Marvin and Marcella (Peterson) Geving.
Thomas grew up in Walker where he graduated high school in 1985. He then attended St. Cloud State to study finance, graduating in 1989. After college, he became a manager for convenience stores. He began office work in the ‘90s. In 1999, Thomas began working for US Bank. He has been there ever since, starting as a financial analyst, and working his way up to Trust Officer.
While at college, Thomas met his first wife and were married on December 19, 1992. They had three children, Shane, Kyle, and Reyna. The family made their home in Blaine. At that time Thomas did many home improvement projects, and worked part time at the Home Depot.
Later in life, Thomas met Cheryl Nyholm in Duluth, and began dating in January of 2013. The couple were married on October 13, 2018. Thomas and his wife Cheryl travelled twice a year, visiting many parts of the U.S. including Alaska, as well as Spain and the Caribbean.
He had a great interest in other cultures and made friends with people from many different walks of life. He also enjoyed learning about history and foods from other countries.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Cheryl Nyholm-Geving; children, Shane Geving, Kyle Geving, and Reyna Geving; siblings, Gigi (Syd) Seimon, George (Charlotte) Geving, Terrence Geving, and Anthony (Ingunn) Geving; parents-in-law, Raymond and Louise Nyholm; brother-in-law, Michael (Tara) Nyholm; first wife, Dawn Aho; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcella and Marvin Geving; brother, James Geving; and sister-in-law, Wendy Nyholm-McGuire.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 at Miller Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 10 and a luncheon will follow. Interment will be at 1:30 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, MN.
