Vern Johnson

Vern C. Johnson, age 92 of Mounds View, MN ran joyfully into heaven on May 3, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Betty Dillon Johnson; brother, Roger Johnson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marj and Gil Watson; daughters Sue Drakulic and Sandy Agrimson (John), and son Scott Johnson (Sue); grandchildren Todd Drakulic (Kristen), Holly Benjamin (Josh), Steve Drakulic (Kristin), Kevin Drakulic (Emily) and Kara Carter; Tom Agrimson (Whitney), Kersti Pruka (Charles King), Brian Agrimson (Kaleigh), Britt Agrimson (Kyle Foss); Kiersten Thomsen (Jake), Kara Johnson, and Jake Johnson; and 20 awesome great grand children as well as many special nieces and nephews and dear friends, especially the Salem sharing group. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dan Drakulic.
Vern was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He retired from Honeywell after a 40 year engineering career, including three patents. He had a love for hunting and fishing and all MN sports teams, no matter how much they struggled!
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Salem Covenant Church, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to Salem Covenant Church (https://salem-covenant.church) or a favorite charity of your choice.
