Verna Sherman

Verna Mae Sherman, age 87 of Richfield, passed away December 9, 2010, at Presbyterian Home of Roseville. She had been in failing health for the past several months. She was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Cassie Sherman; and her brother, Gene Sherman. Verna is survived by her brother, Max (Lorene) Sherman of Mora; sister, Marie (Ted) Laubner of Holiday, FL; brother, Bill (Conny) Sherman of New Brighton; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Verna grew up in Mora, MN. She graduated from Swedish Hospital School of Nursing and then spent time in the Army as a 2nd Lt. RN. Verna worked at Vet's Hospital many years until her retirement. Funeral service Saturday, Dec. 18th at 2 PM, with visitation one hour prior at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 6544 - 16th Ave. S., Richfield, MN (612-866-5405). Interment at a later date in Mora, MN.
