Dennis was born April 4th 1923, to Minnie and Charles Anderson the seventh of ten children.  He grew up in Kerrick Township, outside of the Moose Lake, MN area and graduated from Moose Lake High School.  Dennis was drafted into WWII.  He chose the Navy and served as Radioman 3rd Class on the USS LSM 217 ship.  This LSM was in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign.  Dennis married Georgeen Hansen on February 14, 1948. They had 2 children, Kurt and Kris.  Dennis worked construction and did a variety of jobs as a brick & block layer and worked on bridges.  He also built and/or remodeled several homes the family lived in.  He was very interested in the rivers around Pine and Carlton counties.  Dennis loved God and thought it was important to share his Faith.  He was a strong-willed, hard working Swede, who loved his family.  Dennis was hospitalized this last February and passed away from complications of pneumonia and CHF.  Dennis was preceded in death by wife, Georgeen; parents, Charles & Minnie; sisters, Wellma Norberg, Fern Lindberg, Doris Smith, Elfie Pangburn, Myrtle Baker, Jerine Jones-Erickson; brothers, Hurley Anderson, James Anderson.  He is survived by son, Kurt (Bootsie) Anderson; Daughter, Kris Anderson; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle (Audrey) Anderson; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Memorial maybe sent to World Vision.

There will be a private graveside service for Dennis held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

To protect the health and safety of all, services are currently being limited or postponed as required by state and local authorities and the CDC. Expressions of sympathy during this time can be left on the condolences page available with the obituary on our website.
