Frank Giampaolo

Frank Michael Giampaolo, was born September 15, 1938.  He was baptized into the family of Christ on October 23, 1938.  He confirmed his faith in the Triune God on October 31, 1954.

Frank joined the US Army (Tank Command) in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959.  Upon leaving the military, he was joined in matrimony to his childhood sweetheart, Florence Kropp, in 1960. Frank was an independent over the road truck driver for many years.  Even though he enjoyed the freedom of the road, a back injury forced a career change.  Frank returned to school, where he studied computer technology.  He went on to work for Unisys and later a small technology company in Shafer, Minnesota before retiring at the age of 62.

Through his struggle with heart disease, Frank ministered to all he met about his faith journey.  He witnessed at the hospital, the rehab center and even McDonalds.  He prayed daily for his family and participated in prayer groups at the church.  He also sang in the choir and led Bible Studies.  He blessed us all by his example.

Frank was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mounds View, MN.  Frank loved the Lord, His family, and sharing stories.  On April 20, 2019 the Lord of life called Frank, peacefully in his sleep, to his eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his wife Florence (1985), with whom he had four wonderful children, and son-in-law Chris Fleming. Frank will be deeply missed by his wife, Lori of 26 years; children, Ken, Michael, Vicky Fleming, Anthony (Valerie), Charee (Punnarin) Koy; brother, Daryl; six grandchildren, Clayton, David, Sarah, Raidan, Solaina, and Briella; and one great grandchild, Arieha.

Having received the gift of faith in Jesus Christ, Frank is now celebrating the victory of eternal life in heaven.

A funeral service will be at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2848 County Road H2 - Mounds View, on Friday, April 26 at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior.
