Gene Lowell Witte child of George Benjamin Witte and Bertha Martha Witte (Raaf). Born 3/19/1938.  Passed away peacefully at his home in Blaine surrounded by family on 12/12/2020.

Gene married the love of his life Priscilla Kay Brand on June 18, 1966. Gene and Kay raised two sons, Wade Witte and Jason Witte.
Beloved by his siblings; Shirley, Geraldine, JoAnne, Mark, Scott and Paul.
He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Drew, Kaylee, Juliana, Lauren and Lily.
He has many nieces, nephews, cousins and valued family more than anything else in life.
Gene excelled in football, basketball and track in high school and his enjoyment of football continued throughout his life.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed being outdoors usually doing projects and particularly liked helping others.
A valued member of the community, he served as the first full-time police officer in Blaine, Minnesota from 1-1-1964 through 5-27-1979, he also worked as a ready mix truck driver until his retirement.

Visitation from 11AM-1PM with funeral service at 1PM on Thurs, Dec 17 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley. Interment at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Services will be livestreamed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be referred to thewoundedblue.org to help police officers injured in the line of duty.
