Joanne Toews

Joanne Mary Toews, age 72, of Fridley, Minnesota, passed away on August 19, 2020.

Joanne was a Fridley High School teacher for 35 years. She was the first female president of the Fridley Lions. Joanne was a prom chaperone for 32 years, an advisor to Business Professionals of America, a delegation director for YMCA Youth in Government, and a Bible Study Fellowship leader.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Brian David Toews; parents, Donald and Marjorie Tjosvold.

She is survived by daughter, Susan (formerly Johnson) Toews; son, Donald (Kara) Toews; grandchildren: Johanna, Jack, Victoria and Corinne; brother, Richard (Paulette) Tjosvold; in-laws, Richard (Jeanne) Toews; other loving family and friends.

Visitation at 9:00 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25th at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Interment at Sunset Cemetery.
