Rosella Davis

June 29, 1952 — October 26, 2020

Davis, Rosella (Rose)

Rose, Age 68, of NE Mpls. (formerly from Columbia Heights), passed away on Oct. 26 after a short battle from brain cancer. Her pain and suffering is now behind her. Preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Robert Davis. Survived by sister, Rita (Deborah); brothers, Barry (Jan) and Wally (Melanie); several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.

Rose spent her whole life serving to other people’s needs. She worked for 44 years at Little Sisters of the Poor as a nurse for the elderly, faithfully served in many ways at St. Matthews Lutheran Church.  Some of her “work” included being a Parish nurse for the PALS and Splash Programs, taught confirmation classes, was a “Befriender” assisted with the Wellness and Health Education Programs, took blood pressures between church services, hand crafted, managed the church banners and made Memorial Tree ornaments.  Rose volunteered for many years as a nurse at Camp Omega, co led the PALS and Splash Programs for intellectually disabled adults for over 35 years, volunteered at The Gathering for elderly dementia patients and their caregivers. Rose was never afraid to help those in need. She was a quiet and humble person, never looking for praise or recognition. Rose was always generous and thoughtful and very spiritual person.  Christ was always in her heart and she lived to serve Him. She adored her nieces and nephews and would shower them with love and affection.

She will be deeply missed by many.
